What to expect when your going to get a hysterectomy?

Sweetie I would definitely only recommend getting one ONLY as a last resort. My mum had one back in 88 so I don't know if I can tell you much because it was so long ago and I was just a young kid. I know it's major abdominal surgery so don't expect to be getting up and moving around too quickly after it for at least a couple of months because it will be very painful. I remember mum having quite a few pain killers for it though and looking after me and my brother as dad and mum had just spilt up so it was really bad timing for my mum. Sorry I can be of much more help sweetie but I guess as I said, only do it as a last resort because I remember my mum going into early menopause a few years after it.
