Some people have claimed that Mt Saint Helens is similar to the deposition of fossil forests in the fossil record. I believe they are wrong. They are identical, except: There are no petrified permineralized silicon fossils at Mt Saint Helens, like there are in the Morrison Formation and other Mesozoic fossil sites. This is because these eruptions produced different types of volcanic ash. Help me prove or disprove this.
