What is a good acoustic guitar to buy?

Hello there. Im looking to buy a acoustic guitar. Ive been trying to teach myself how to play on a 1967 Fender Strat USA Model, and its not coming too good. People have been saying I need to start on a acoustic guitar. Im tryin to learn the 70's rigid style of technical guitar playing, and they all say that i should start there. So whats a good acoustic guitar to start off with? Money is not a issue, hence why I went out of my way to acquire a '67 Fender Strat, and a America strat to kick it off. So what do you think? People keep throwing be between Gibson and Fender, and I really dont know.
