Youth Group games help?

Our church has a huge gymnasium sized community room, which, for the past 4 years our youth group has used to play badminton volleyball etc. Yesterday at a meeting of the leaders and volunteers the priest told us that the church council has denied us use of the community room for sports. We need ideas of games we can play as ice-breakers as the kids arrive. On tables or in a circle and without we already have like spoons, sticks, cards etc. We need something that can entertain kids from grades 5-10, don't involve any form of sports toys, and that kids can join into as they arrive, any ideas?
