Discrimination as a single mother?
I recently interviewed for a well-known worldwide shipping company. It was for a supervisory position in a distribution center with hours from 3a-8a. I was asked very personal questions, of which I answered, and even the female interviewer made comments like " I know I am not really supposed to ask that" and "you're not going to report me are you?" The questions were about my family situation and whether I had someone to watch my daughter during these hours, etc. She called and asked me to come in the next day at 6am to meet with the male sup and see what he does. I came in and he was very rude to me saying " I am just really concerned that you're a single mom and you can't ever miss work" along with some other comments that were in my opinion ist. I am college educated with a strong attendance history. I was excited about the job after the interview and call back, but felt purposely deterred/discouraged from it in the morning. Any recourse?
