you can get hearing dogs for the deaf, alert dogs for epileptics, and there are loads of charities that will train your own dog as an istance dog for almost any other disability. They can do most things from helping you get dressed, picking things up, putting washing in the machine, getting the phone, etc, the list is as long as the number of things someone might need help to do.
