Is 1.2 KG of vegetables too much to eat in one sitting?
Just weighed the saucepan full of frozen vegetables that I eat every day as my main meal and it weighs 1.2 KG along with a skinless chicken or other lean meat. Normally this comprises 5 or 6 different vegetables at any one time consisting of peas, beans, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, swede, courgette, asparagus, cut cabbage, brussels sprouts etc. Through the day I probably have an additional 5 or 6 generous portions of fruit and veg. As the RDA of fruit and veg is 5 X 80 grams portions totalling 400 grams through the day, is the 1.2 KG (1200 grams) I'm eating in one sitting alone way too much? I'm worried about the volume by size and weight plus if I could be getting too many vitamins and minerals from it all that could be toxic and damage my health. I'm not interested in losing weight or Accai berries so please no replies promoting them. Thanks in advance for any replies.
